Message-ID: <1376.1283297174@guildserver.co.uk> Hello Mark. If you would like I have a spare PC (PCI) SCSI card that will work with any LVD/SE SCSI disk. Its connector is 50pin but you can get many SCSI adapters, basically as long as the DISK has an RDB then you can use WinUAE to load from it - just like a regular any other regular Amiga Disk - then from here its a simply copy with DOPUS I use one of these in my PC - for the very same purpose lol, so this spare is yours if you want it, just gimmie a postage address. Oooo btw... it might be wise to copy the data to an Amiga Formatted Partition as there are some filenames not supported with FAT95/32 or CD (and WinXP lol) (always double check =) ) On Tue 31/08/10 7:07 AM , Mark macmiga at lincsamiga.org.uk sent: Anyone got any bright ideas? LCC Children's Services managers have done a review of lettings charges and as a result the hourly rates have been updated. As a result I thought I should inform you that unfortunately the cost of hiring GMYC has risen. I think you usually use the centre for 5-6 hours, so the charges for this would now be: 5 hours use on a Saturday before 10.00pm costs UKP55.85. 6 hours use on a Saturday before 10.00pm costs UKP57.90. Posted: Sat Sep 25, 2010 8:41 am Published on Fri Sep 24 08:03:16 BST 2010 AN RAF Honington medic has helped to revolutionise training, following a harrowing incident while serving in Iraq. Sergeant Chris Perrio-Stone, of 15 Squadron RAF Regiment, realised more realistic training was needed after a junior medic he was with went into shock at the scene of a road accident. A water truck had flipped over and crushed a passing vehicle with four Iraqi men inside. Petrol was leaking from the car and diesel from the truck, so the two medics rushed to the car, finding two dead men in the back and an injured passenger and driver in the front. But Sgt Perrio-Stone had to treat the men alone because the junior medic had gone into shock. As a result of the experience, Sgt Perrio-Stone knew training for infantry medics needed to change. Now, the RAF Regiment uses volunteers who have lost a limb in battle but who still want to serve in the forces to give trainee medics realistic human casualties to respond to. Also, trainees now spend time in hospitals, where they are exposed to blood and real-life smells. "In the madness of a roadside bomb or even a traffic accident, if any one person on a team must remain focused, it is the medic," said Sgt Perrio-Stone. "We've got to be able to react to whatever is in front of us and give our surgeons something to fix. "If anything ever happens to me, I want to be confident that the man next to me can save my life." The squadron is set to deploy to Afghanistan in November." --- Regards, michael aka rockape From darren at stevens31.karoo.co.uk Wed Sep 29 21:28:41 2010 From: darren at stevens31.karoo.co.uk (Darren Stevens) Date: Wed, 29 Sep 2010 21:28:41 +0100 Subject: [LAG List] LAG 18?
